Bears of Sheffield: #59 Rory
#59 of 61 big bear sculptures, this one was decorated by Twinkl and is located in Endcliffe Park.
Twinkl is the official Education Partner for the Bears of Sheffield trail. They have created resources and provided design advice for schools that are taking part in the Little Bears trail.
Their Bear is lovingly named Rory after Twinkl employee Kelly’s son who has spent lots of time at Sheffield Children’s. The words from the poem on the Bear “…confidence turned whispers into a world-changing roar” really resonated with Kelly as until August last year they had never heard Rory laugh, cry or make a sound, and slowly his whispers have become more of a roar as he has grown with confidence.

Bears of Sheffield
Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.
The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
