Chepstow Castle Doors
Chepstow Castle Doors
These are the original doors of Chepstow Castle and were at the main entrance to the castle until 1962. Dendrochronology (tree-ring dating) indicates the wood used to construct the doors was felled no later than 1190 making these doors the oldest in Europe.
