#26 of 61 big bear sculptures, this one was decorated by Sean Coleman and is located in Charter Square.
The design shows Barker wearing a pelt of bark – holding a mirror to just one of the many environments in which bears live. In Barker’s case, he lives in the alpine mountain woodlands of the Italian Alps where the population of bears almost disappeared over 20 years ago.

Bears of Sheffield
Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.
The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
