#52 of 61 big bear sculptures, this one was decorated by Laura Slater and is located in Meadowhall Shopping Centre.
Laura’s Bear design was based on interpreting aspects of the Sheffield Peak District, observing shape, texture and composition inspired by the landscape. Her chosen colour palette references shades and accent colours found in ordnance survey maps.

Bears of Sheffield
Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.
The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
