#2 of 61 big bear sculptures, this one was decorated by Kyle Platt and is located on the steps of Sheffield City Hall.
Kyle’s design for his Bear reflects a personal childhood memory of his summers growing up in Sheffield. During these summers he would collect the flowers of the Buddleia, also known as the ‘Butterfly Bush’, from his Grandad’s garden to attract butterflies.

Bears of Sheffield
Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.
The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.
The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
