The projecting yellow bed in the cliff opposite is the Flats dolomite band, which dips down to the headland and forms a wave-cut platform called 'Broad Bench'. The pole on the headland supports an MOD CCTV camera - the beach around the headland and beyond is always closed to the general public. The beach in the foreground is open to the public whenever the Lulworth Range Walks are open. Steps lead down from here to the beach.
