The church of St Peter & St Paul - rood screen
The church of St Peter & St Paul - rood screen
The medieval rood screen is one of the most noteworthy and interesting in East Anglia. The first two panels from left are blank; the third depicts an unidentified saint wearing a tiara (possibly St Gregory); the other panels show St Clement; St Walstan of Bawburgh; an unidentified bishop; St Edward the Confessor; St Etheldreda; St Ursula; St Withburga; St Dorothy and St Elizabeth of Hungary. The church welcomes visitors - when locked a key is readily available at The Vicarage, next door. For more detailed information see: LinkExternal link
