Entrance driveway to Froddle Crook Cottage

There is an Ordnance Survey benchmark NY4949 : Benchmark on gatepost at entrance to Froddle Crook Cottage on the right hand gatepost at the entrance as shown on 1972-5 Map. Strangely OS records indicate that a benchmark levelled at 122.54m above Newlyn Datum was verified in 1972 on a stone at the wall angle on the left hand side of the entrance. This mark is shown on the 1900 Map levelled at 403.4 feet (122.96m) above Liverpool Datum.
