This notice refers to the need to replace the boiler of the replica Newcomen engine and states that the house is remaining open until the new boiler can be sourced. That is now out of date and at the time of this visit the new boiler was in and the final touches were to complete with the intention of being back in steam during 2022. Therefore the house was not open but I was able to see the work in progress as part of a special guided tour provided for the second International Early Engines Conference.
