Craigleith Quarry (2)
A lot of Edinburgh's buildings are of sandstone quarried in Craigleith Quarry. However this massive hole was filled in and built on to create the Craigleith Retail Park. A small fraction of the remaining quarry face can still be seen behind the large shops on the east side of the shopping centre. These dipping sandstone beds are part of that face.
