Restoration works at the Union Chain Bridge over the River Tweed
Suspension cables are in place while the road deck is dismantled for a complete refurbishment. The masonry towers at either end of the bridge are also being restored. The works are scheduled for completion by January 2022. This photo was taken from the Border Belle on a river trip from Berwick-upon-Tweed.
