There are six bears doing various things under the eaves of the northern range of Lord Leycester Hospital in the courtyard. See SP2864 : Warwick - Lord Leycester Hospital - Courtyard and north range to see them in context.
This is the rightmost and final bear of the six. He is doing a push-up on his ragged staff.

Lord Leycester Hospital

Although named after the Earl of Leicester the spelling used by the place itself is with a Y in Leycester.
It was originally built in c.1483 by the Guild of St George and the Holy Trinity, but was taken over by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester (1532-88) a favourite of Queen Elizabeth I.
He set up the 'hospital' (a place of respite rather than a medical centre) to care for pensioners and it continues to house ex-servicemen and their wives to this day. The hospital itself and the original guildhall on the first floor are open to public - see their website here LinkExternal link
The accommodation for the servicemen is mainly within the adjoining 56 High Street - which I believe was a former inn (the Swan Inn?).
To the west of the hospital is its associated Chapel of St James - also open to the public as are the hospital's grounds and a walkway along the town walls at this point.
The chapel is remarkable in having been built on top of an archway across the road.
There are a host of listed buildings and monuments - see EH listings below:
