This monument, built of red sandstone, stands by the roadside overlooking Traprain Law. On a clear day there are wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, including Lammerlaw, the Moorfoots, the Pentlands and Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh, the Garletons, the Paps o Fife across the Firth of Forth, North Berwick Law, Traprain Law and the farmlands around Dunbar.
