The naval vessel in the photo is the permanently moored HMS Hindustan SX8752 : Britannia Royal Naval College - HMS Hindustan.
River Dart
The River Dart rises at Lower White Tor on Dartmoor and flows generally SE to its mouth at Dartmouth. Its valley and surrounding area is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The river's mouth is an excellent example of a Ria (drowned river valley).

Britannia Royal Naval College :: SX8751
Britannia Royal Naval College is the main establishment training Naval officers. It was built at Dartmouth in 1905, designed by Sir George Aston Webb. From 1863 the training hulks Britannia and Hindostan were moored on the river; when these wooden ships became unsuitable nearby land was purchased as a base.
