Dartmouth Lower Ferry
Dartmouth Lower Ferry
The Lower Ferry, like the Higher Ferry, is a roll-on-roll-off vehicle ferry, and is seen here from the passenger ferry that uses and adjacent jetty at the Kingswear end, but docks in the town centre at the Dartmouth end.

River Dart (provided by N Chadwick)

The River Dart rises at Lower White Tor on Dartmoor and flows generally SE to its mouth at Dartmouth. Its valley and surrounding area is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The river's mouth is an excellent example of a Ria (drowned river valley).
