West end of the church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Kingswear
There has been a church here since the 13th century, as a chapel of ease - not to Dartmouth across the river, but to Brixham on the coast. Apart from the 14th century tower, the rest dates from 1847. It is on a steep hillside with not much curtilage around it, so a difficult building to photograph, but see SX8850 : Lychgate, St Thomas of Canterbury, Kingswear for context. Grade II listed (list entry 1108544).
