The Princes Estate seen in

SP7903 : Princes Risborough: Princes Estate railway bridge was formerly the site of the Forest Products Laboratory, originally set up to assist the building and other industries using wood. In 1972 it became part of the Building Research Establishment, based at Garston, north of Watford, Herts., (see
TL1201) and was renamed the Princes Risborough Laboratory. It was eventually moved in the 1980s to the main BRE site at Garston.
It is interesting to see that the site is partly taken up with the Ercol workshop and showroom dealing in timber furniture - so the link with wood is not entirely broken.
