Taken on the occasion of a Locomotive Club of Great Britain railtour from Liverpool to the relatively newly formed Dart Valley Railway. The train has been brought back down to the junction with the main line by the two steam locomotives (4555 and 1638) where it will be taken over by a class 47 diesel for the return to Liverpool.

Totnes (Littlehempston) Station

Totnes (Littlehempston) station, previously known as Totnes Riverside station and Littlehempston Riverside station, is a station situated in Littlehempston in Devon It is the southern terminal for the South Devon Railway, a steam operated heritage railway. Littlehempston station should not be confused with the Totnes main line station on the National Rail Exeter to Plymouth line, which is a 330 yards walk away.

South Devon Railway

The South Devon Railway is a heritage railway from Totnes to Buckfastleigh in Devon, alongside the River Dart. It is the course of a former GWR line built in 1872. It was previously known as the Dart Valley Railway. The Railway is operated by the South Devon Railway Trust.
