Bears of Sheffield (2021).

The design artist Ding Ding wanted to combine her love of geometric pattern and ethnographic costume. Eastern Europe has a long relationship with the Brown Bear, and she wanted to borrow from the traditional costume of that area.

Bears of Sheffield (provided by Graham Hogg)

Bears of Sheffield is a public arts exhibition celebrating Sheffield and its surrounding area. Coordinated by The Children's Hospital Charity, the trail brings together businesses, communities, artists and schools whilst supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital. The Bears have been brought to life by artists of all ages, both professional and amateur, and they arrived in the city in July 2021.

The Bears of Sheffield showcases 60 large and 100 little bear sculptures in both indoor and outdoor locations.

The bears are raising funds through sponsorship and donations to help transform the Cancer and Leukaemia ward at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
