Mortimer Forest at Black Pool Car Park
Mortimer Forest at Black Pool Car Park
The car park is on the South Eastern side of Mortimer Forest.
Mortimer Forest is on the Shropshire and Herefordshire border and covers 1,000 hectares. Originally made up of ancient royal chases and deer parks, the forest today was largely planted by the Forestry Commission in the 1920s. It was named after the Mortimer Family, Norman Lords who held power over the region for about 300 years.
