Looking along Murton Beck to Highmoor Plantation
Murton Beck and its left-bank tributary which join to form Frith Beck have a very low gradient along this flat bottom-land between Flakebridge Wood and Highmoor Plantation. Soft rush (Juncus effusus) indicates the often waterlogged nature of the heavy clay soil whilst alders (Alnus glutinosa) thrive along the stream bank.
