Hydraulic engine Allenheads Mine
Built 1864 at Elswick and used to power the sawmill. It has now been re-erected in a purpose built display centre in the village but is hidden behind mesh - see NY8545 : Armstrong hydraulic engine. I took no exterior views and have used the grid reference given elsewhere on site for this mine.
