Painted cabinet on Dock Street
One of the works by 'Burley Banksy', many of them in Leeds United colours, but this one says 'Leeds City FC 1904-1919'. According to Wikipedia, the club was "dissolved in 1919 due to financial irregularities, after which Leeds United was established as a replacement". So unlike Manchester, City and United were never rivals.
Burley and Kirkstall street art
In the last few years, several urban artists have been painting murals and decorating street furniture in the Burley and Kirkstall area, often with flowers or colourful street scenes. Two in particular deserve mention: Andy McVeigh, specialising in the blue and yellow colours of Leeds United Football Club, uses the tag "Burley Banksy", and Grace Hills who specialises in nature and environmental themes (as well as guerrilla gardening) has featured on TV.
