The Castle Centre, Banbury
The Castle Centre, Banbury
When the former Corn Exchange of 1857 was redeveloped into a shopping centre c.1977, the facade was retained and is grade II listed (list entry 1046917).

The architect was William Hill of Leeds. Having designed this Corn Exchange, he entered a design competition a few years later for the one in Leeds... and came second, Cuthbert Brodrick taking the commission (source: Pevsner Architectural Guides, Leeds, 2005). I wonder whether his design for Leeds was identical or similar to this?
