Church of St Nicholas, Barfreston, Kent

Late 12th century, with much intricate carving still intact. Special features include the carving in the spokes of the wheel-window in the east gable, the carved semi-circular tympanum over the south doorway, and the large array of carved corbels stretching along the tops of the outer walls just below roof level.
