The Round House, Battery Square
One of a pair of small shops linked by a parapetted overhead walkway above a central arch. The Round House was built in 1959-60 to complement the earlier Ladies Lodge adjacent ([[[7102899]]. During the filming at Portmeirion of the cult television series The Prisoner in 1966, the Round House served as Number Six's residence. It is a Grade II listed building (Cadw reference 4876 Link
). It now serves as a “prisoner”-themed souvenir shop.

Portmeirion is a popular tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village. Link
The village was used as the set in 1967 tv series "The Prisoner" tv-series Link, starring Patrick McGoohan.
Portmeirion is also famous for its pottery company which was co-founded by Susan Williams-Ellis, daughter of Clough Williams-Ellis, and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis.
