The Classic television series “The Prisoner” starred Patrick McGoohan as an unnamed British intelligence who resigns from his top-secret job and is held captive in a mysterious coastal village, where he is known only as “Number 6”. Exterior scenes were filmed in Portmeirion 9 Link

Portmeirion :: SH5837
Portmeirion is a popular tourist village in Gwynedd, North Wales. It was designed and built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975 in the style of an Italian village. Link
The village was used as the set in 1967 tv series "The Prisoner" tv-series Link
Portmeirion is also famous for its pottery company which was co-founded by Susan Williams-Ellis, daughter of Clough Williams-Ellis, and her husband Euan Cooper-Willis.
