NZ0713 : Church Of St Mary, Rokeby

taken 3 years ago, near to Brignall, County Durham, England

Church Of St Mary, Rokeby
Church Of St Mary, Rokeby
Grade II listed church with oldest parts from 1778. Very difficult access unless on foot from the rear due to its position beside the extremely busy A66 road. There is a large family plot for the Morritt family within the grounds (owners of Rokeby Park). The group of graves in the foreground of the image may be an older family plot, but inscriptions are indistinct.
