The Knife Angel, which is also known as the 'National Monument Against Violence & Aggression' is constructed as a sculpture from 100,000 knives by artist Alfie Bradley and the British Ironworks Centre, based in Oswestry.
The sculpture was completed in 2018, and is an impressive 27 ft (8m) tall. The knives used to create the sculpture have been handed in anonymously by individuals during knife amnesties. The sculpture has toured and been displayed in many town and cities since 2018.
The sculpture has been created to highlight knife crime and the harm knives can bring particularly among young people.
