Archimedes Screws at the Tees Barrage

These Screws enable 24 hour regulation of water in the White Water Course. When the course is not being used, river water is diverted through the Screws to produce electricity which is sold back to the national grid. There is a fish pass between the 2 middle Archimedes Screws
