Weasenham village sign re-painted
There are two Weasenhams, St Peter’s and All Saints, both are represented in the outer circles of the sign. In the centre is the village pond at St Peter’s with its island of weeping willow. On the spandrels and in the roundel is a crown and pigeons paying tribute to Mr Alan Pearce who was the keeper of the Queen's racing pigeons until his death in 1991. There is a fox and hounds not only representing the pub, but also the West Norfolk Hunt who once kennelled the hounds in the village. The right spandrel shows an ostrich representing not only the other pub but the Earl of Leicester whose crest bears an ostrich. The sheep in the roundel are there because of the once popular annual sheep fair which used to take place here. A general view can be seen here > Link
Village Signs of East Anglia

Village signs are typically placed along the principal road or in a prominent location such as a village green or close by the church. The design often depicts a particularly feature of the village or a scene from its history, heritage, or culture. They are typically made of wood or metal or a combination of both, the designs are often made by the local community.
Although they do appear in villages and towns all over the country they are more prominent in East Anglia than elsewhere in the country.
