Castle Street, Carlisle
Formerly the A595 and also the Newtown route of the City of Carlisle Electric Tramway until closure in November 1931, Castle Street is now partly pedestrianised. It is the route of The Cumbria Way from Carlisle to Ulverston which starts/ends at the nearby Carlisle Cross in the city centre.

A 119km (74 mile) long distance path from Ulverston to Carlisle, through the heart of the English Lake District.
A595 Road
The A595 is a main road in Cumbria, that starts in Carlisle, passes through Whitehaven, and goes close to Workington, Cockermouth and Wigton. It passes Sellafield and Ravenglass before ending at the Dalton-in-Furness by-pass, in southern Cumbria, where it joins the A590 trunk road.
