Nelson Column
This Nelson Column stands on Castle Green in Hereford and is more than twenty years older than its much more famous London counterpart. Hereford's memorial column was erected around 1809 and designed by Thomas Hardwick. A statue was originally planned, however, the money ran out, resulting is a finial being placed on the top of the column.
