The Wolverhampton 21 - Lock No 19
Looking north-west towards Aldersley Junction.
There are 21 locks (originally 20) in the Wolverhampton flight, lowering the Birmingham Canal Navigations Main Line (Wolverhampton Level) by 132 feet (40 metres) between Broad Street Basin and the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at Aldersley Junction.
Dunstal Park Bridge* (just one l on the bridge name-plate) was probably an accommodation bridge into the Dunstall Hall estate before it becme a racecourse in the 1880s.

* The bridge plate only has one l in Dunstal.
