Heathland of Waldridge Fell
Heathland of Waldridge Fell
Typical scenery at Waldridge Fell Country Park near to Chester-Le-Street in County Durham. An information leaflet published by the county describes it as an "area of lowland heath (moorland less than 300m above sea level), and contains heather, bilberry and moorland grasses". Paths proliferate in the area, most of them not being public footpaths, though the main route in the image is one. The whole area however is classified as open access land under the year 2000 CROW Act.
