The shops opposite the end of Union Street seem to be in regular change.

On the left SM Facial Aesthetics have moved into what was previously the Gas Appliance shop SJ9494 : Empty premises on Market Street

In 2009 the shops to the right were the Clover restaurant. By 2011 it had become Jaipur Restaurant SJ9494 : Jaipur Indian Restaurant. When the premises were originally split SJ9494 : 122-124 Market Street they became home to Body Transform, a ladies only weight loss studio on the left and a fancy dress shop on the right. In February 2022 they consisted of Prince Edward Flooring and Kebab Station.

In 2009 #120 was the estate agents Ur-place. It then became home to Salon 120, then briefly a pagan bookshop SJ9494 : An Indian Restaurant & a Pagan bookshop and subsequently a boutique called Sparkles SJ9494 : Indian restaurant and designer boutique. In February 2022 it became home to the beauty clinic Clarification SJ9494 : Shops on Market Street but they have now been replaced by Coco Bella Melts who specialise in 100% handmade soya wax melts, room sprays, carpet sprinkles, burner oils and much more.

On the end was insurance brokers, Coversure who had been there for more than a dozen years. Now that is home to The Hair Hut, a unisex salon.
