SE1221 : Quarry face, Strangstry Wood, Rastrick

taken 17 years ago, near to Rastrick, Calderdale, England

Quarry face, Strangstry Wood, Rastrick
Quarry face, Strangstry Wood, Rastrick
This is part of about 300m of quarry face just inside the Rastrick boundary, which was probably on the edge of the escarpment before the edge was quarried away. This is taken from a path on a ridge parallel with the quarry face. The ridge is probably formed by the land in front of the quarry face being removed and partly by the spoil.
