taken 17 years ago, near to Godney, Somerset, England

River Brue and Glastonbury Tor in March floods
River Brue and Glastonbury Tor in March floods
The river level has risen to the top of the embankment (above the road). 30mm of rain had fallen in a 36-hour period. Compare the height of the water with the more usual level in ST4740 : River Brue and Glastonbury Tor, taken from the same vantage point. Some water has spilled onto the road surface but most goes into adjacent fields.
