An integral part of the farmyard was the mill whose wheel was powered by a leet from a stream, and was used primarily to provide animal feed.

Cappagh House, the old Cappagh House, and the estate grounds are open to the public during the summer months on certain days, and is highly recommended as an opportunity to step back in time, to see how a typical country estate functioned in Ireland during the nineteenth century.
