Castles of Munster: Bulgaden Eady, Limerick (1)
In a field behind a school lies a tower with a SE facing entrance, and a vaulted second storey. Its visible defences consist of two double-splayed loops set at the lowest level. Nothing remains of the upper storeys that were reached by a straight stair in the SW wall. In 1583 the castle was held by Eady Lacy, but was confiscated in around 1652 and given to Captain Massey.
