NZ0545 : WaskerleyNZ0545 : Waskerley Waskerley was developed as a railway centre in 1845. The moorland village built to accommodate the railway workers, had a chapel and a school. The station had passenger traffic up to 1939, and goods traffic to 1965, but the line between Weardale and Derwent Junction was finally closed by Beeching in 1968.
