The Waskerley Way heads onto open moor
The riding gets more technical west of Waskerley as there are sheep and the dog needs to be on a lead. Nonetheless, the gradient is still gentle and by the time I have stopped and got the camera out, the pair are rapidly disappearing into the distance. Fortunately for her short legs, this is just a day ride and we won't be following the Coast-to-Coast Cycle Route all the way to the Irish Sea. Just as far as the next dog-friendly café, three and a half kilometre ahead, in fact.
