NZ0044 : Downhill with a tailwind on the Waskerley Way

taken 2 years ago, 4 km NNE of Crawleyside, County Durham, England

Downhill with a tailwind on the Waskerley Way
Being an old railway trackbed, the Waskerley Way has a very gentle gradient downwards to the east, and the breeze, whilst quite brisk, is not going to take anyone off their feet. By standing up on the pedals, however, the gradient and wind assistance combine to make for effortless cycling, at least for a kilometre or so. The dog doesn't have the advantages of weight, height or wheels and is getting more exercise than we are !
