The "Engine Arm" aqueduct
The "Engine Arm" aqueduct
Beautiful cast iron aqueduct crossing Telford's BCN "New Main Line". The aqueduct carries a navigable feeder alongside which were two beam engines, including Boulton & Watt's 1779 "Smethwick engine". This is now preserved at Thinktank in Birmingham. This engine is on its fourth site and is in its fourth century (18th, 19th, 20th and now 21st).
