Churchyard [south side], St John's church, Helsington

The church is right on the boundary of Helsington parish, but relatively convenient for Sizergh estate. The upper part of the inscription on the Commonwealth war grave reads 'Captain / R N K. Jones, MC. / Royal Artillery / 9th April 1942 Aged 47'. The verse at the bottom of the headstone was obscured by the poppy wreath.
