Lloyds Bank, 30 High Street, Coventry
The 1897 insurance plan of Coventry shows Lloyds Bank set further back but roughly where the Halifax stands today at 22 High Street. The present Grade II Listed bank at no.30 was built by Buckland and Haywood in 1932, possibly designed by Haywood. National Provincial Bank (now NatWest) and Lloyds Bank were built on the intended building line so allowing for a wider High Street. The bank survived the bombing of Coventry during the Second World War. It wasn't listed until 2018 and prior to this in 1977 installation of the cash point was granted and in 2015 creation of new disabled access.
