NZ2952 : Lamb Bridge, Lambton Park

taken 2 years ago, near to Fatfield, Sunderland, England

Lamb Bridge, Lambton Park
Lamb Bridge, Lambton Park
Designed by Ignatius Bonomi, the bridge across the river provided access to Lambton Castle. Originally flat decked, the bridge has sunk towards the centre due to movement of the riverbank, forming a pointed arch and making it unusable.
