The A4123, also known as the Birmingham New Road (Wolverhampton to Dudley) and Wolverhampton Road (Dudley to Birmingham), is a major road in the West Midlands which runs for 12 miles between Wolverhampton and Harborne. It connects with the M5 motorway (Junction 2 – Oldbury Interchange) at Birchley Island LinkExternal link .

The route was opened in 1927; it was constructed as an unemployment relief project (LinkExternal link and LinkExternal link Hansard). It was twentieth-century Britain's first new-build inter-city highway, pre-dating the A580 East Lancashire Road by seven years.
