Ordnance Survey rivet benchmark levelled at 162.114m above Newlyn Datum verified 1955. The mark was previously levelled at 530.400 feet above Liverpool Datum in 1844 during the Carlisle to North Shields 1GL Survey. The surveyor's description was 'No. 48. Mark on top of the 13th milestone from Carlisle ; 2.75 ft. above surface'
