Porth Neigwl
Porth Neigwl
From the old road looking eastwards along the four-mile long beach at Porth Neigwl. This beach is also known as Hells Mouth, an appropriate name when south-west gales blow into this exposed bay creating large waves and strong undertows. There is a history of shipwrecks here. The cliffs at the back are very unstable, particularly in wet weather. The beach is difficult to reach down the 'unsafe' footpath, but it is well-known to surfers looking for a more exciting experience. LinkExternal link
